Merlin senses the visitor, and at first evicts him, but later apprentices Jack after a vision of the Holy Grail appears to both of them. Jack then attempts to steal Merlin's wand while Merlin concentrates on the whereabouts of the Grail. Yvonne enters and while Jack hides, Master Graham, a local blacksmith whom she loves, visits her. Jack enters the chamber of Yvonne, granddaughter of Sir Gawain and steals a pendant. Jack is no ordinary vagrant, as he possesses some rudimentary magical skills. A young thief named Jack and his tagalong pig Sir Snout stowaway in a cart entering Camelot, angering its driver Squire Brian. However, Merlin's protective enchantments have held invaders in check.
Almost all of those he knew have died Lord Weston runs the kingdom and the Holy Grail has departed from the castle. Upon his return to Camelot, he discovers a downtrodden place. This vacation nap is supposed to last a few months, but when Merlin awakes, he finds he has slept for fifty years. Yes it is sad to see Merlin grow up and go through so many bad things that harden his heart, but I find it is also really enjoyable to watch his character develop in good and fun ways.Merlin goes on vacation to rejuvenate. Which I think is great for his character. Getting stuff done is more important to him then being perfectly polite. He’s more straight to the point with people and he takes less bulls*** from them. But I’m not saying this is a bad thing! He’s just less focused on pleasing people and more on his own goals.
He will make a lot of witty comments, more so than the previous seasons.Ĥ)He’s a little less nice. He pulls little magic tricks just because he feels like it. He annoys Arthur and makes fun of him because he knows that he can. He has confidence in himself that he used to lack.(Which may have to do with Uther being gone).ģ)He is sarcastic and funny. He tells Arthur and other people what he truly thinks more often. But I feel like it’s the perfect amount for him to be emotional and have depth to his character while also being hilarious.Ģ)He speaks his mind more. He’s a bit sadder in this season than the previous I’d say. He has been through a lot and his life isn’t easy. He is a little depressed but not as much as season five.
